FAQ

I’VE JUST SUBSCRIBED, WHEN DO I GET MY FIRST ISSUE?

That depends on when you subscribed. Generally, you’ll get your first subscription issue before the next issues hits the news stands.

Because it’s a bi-monthly magazine, that means you may have to wait 8 weeks to recieve your first subscription issue.

If you don’t, email our subscription department (subs@paragonmedia.com.au) with your subscription details (subscriber number, name and address) or call on 02 9439 1955 within business hours (9am to 5pm AEST).

MY SUBSCRIPTION HASN’T ARRIVED!

If you’re a subscriber, you should get your copy a few days before it goes on sale in the newsagent. If you see the new edition in the newsstand, but you haven’t got yours by mail, there could be a problem.

You can email our subscription department (subs@paragonmedia.com.au) or call on 02 94391955 in business hours (9am to 5pm EST).

(Please note that may take mail takes 5 – 10 working days to reach subscribers that are not in a major city.)

HOW MANY ISSUES DO I HAVE LEFT?

On the flysheet with the last issue you received it specifies how many issues you have remaining.

If in doubt, just drop an email to our subscription department (subs@paragonmedia.com.au) or call 02 94391955 in business hours (9am to 5pm EST).

SO, YOU WANT TO BE ON THE COVER?

Good for you. You’ve obviously worked hard for a great body and want to show it off. The good news is FLEX does feature fitness models on the cover.

Here’s what you do.

Send a couple of low-res JPEGs to the editor (alison@paragonmedia.com.au). Attach a brief bio about your training, history, etc. Then wait for a response.

We will get back to you and ask for high-res JPEGs if you are successful.

WHO DO I SEND PRESS RELEASES TO?

The best contact for press releases is the editor of Australian Muscle and Fitness.

Email: alison@paragonmedia.com.au

SO, YOU WANT TO WRITE FOR FLEX?

FLEX is the world’s leading bodybuilding magazine, consistently beating its competition in overall circulation and advertising pages. FLEX continues to be the ‘trainer of champions’ and the ‘professional bodybuilder’s bible’ because it offers the most precise and authoritative guide to muscle development and nutritional supplementation. In addition to cutting edge science and research, FLEX also provides its readers with all of the latest news, views and gossip… and the perfect environment for your advertising message.

So, yes, we do accept freelance articles. But they are accepted because they are suitable for publication, meaning they’re well-written, well-researched, are suitable for the tone of the magazine and are a benefit to the reader. I’ll say that again slowly, they are a benefit to the reader.

Here’s the process of submitting an article to FLEX:

1. Read the magazine.

2. Read the magazine again.

3. Conceive a story that is suitable.

4. Write an overview of the story, no more than 200 words long.

5. List your sources: who you’re going to talk to; what you’re going to do, where you’re going to go, again no more than 200 words.

6. Write a brief account of your experience as a writer.

7. Send all of the above to the editor (alison@paragonmedia.com.au)

8. Then wait for for a response.
